Career Experience

Owner and operations manager for an award-winning multi-system mobile entertainment service from 1988-2013.  Booked and staffed over 7000 DJ events and 125 wedding video shoots. In addition to providing DJs for up to ten events, we expanded into videography, photography, and photo booth services.

Worked full and part-time jobs at nine different commercial and public radio stations; video producer for three years.

Other full-time jobs have included telecommunications sales, retail, used car sales, construction, and being a psychiatric nurse’s aide.

Part-time/Temp jobs have included farm worker, cheese packager, UPS driver helper, warehouse worker, junk remover, census enumerator, telephone book deliverer, telemarketer, church media associate, working a tax lien auction, and selling time-share vacations.

Freelance writer for several dozen newspaper and magazine articles; a letter I wrote about Bob Dylan was published in Newsweek magazine.  Created two blogs.  Freelanced videographer for Iowa Sports Network and Iowa Public Television.  Photos have been displayed at the Iowa State Fair.
